Description of massages

Relaxation massage - Swedish
40 min session | 30 min of massage therapy and 10 min of treatment (recommended 1 to 2 regions)
60 min session | 50 min of massage therapy and 10 min of treatment (recommended 2 to 3 regions)

Swedish massage will give you a feeling of well-being and relaxation. Your blood and lymphatic circulation will be stimulated. Indeed, while the nutrients your body needs circulate through your blood vessels, the metabolic waste present in your system circulates through the lymph to reach the elimination glands. This massage is therefore also a real health cure since it activates this cycle.

Essential oils,  creams and other massage tools can be used as part of this massage.

The therapeutic massage will address your muscle pain in depth. Sciatalgia, lower back pain, neck pain or other sore muscles, this massage is designed to release your tension and provide you with relief. Your blood and lymphatic system will also be stimulated.

Thermotherapy, essential oil synergies, rubefacients and other massage tools are sometimes used during treatment. Additional sessions are often recommended for more advanced cases.

60 min session | 50 min of massage therapy and 10 min of treatment (recommended 1 to 2 regions)
90 min session | 80 min of massage therapy and 10 min of treatment (recommended 2 to 3 regions)

Lymphatic drainage is a technique that can be part of a complete treatment or included in the therapist's treatment. The movements are generally slow and gentle or more rhythmic and deep, depending on the method used: Vodder or Leduc.

The movements are directed in the direction of lymphatic circulation; they create a pumping effect. The lymph circulates through the lymphatic vessels and nodes, which filter the body's waste products. Unlike the blood system, the lymphatic system is not activated by the heart. Therefore, the lymph must rely on breathing and body movements to circulate and eliminate waste and toxins from the body.

Essential oils and other tools such as Gua Sha and cupping can be used as part of this massage.

Gua Sha | G-IASTM
(Instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization)

This is a technique derived from traditional Asian medicine that involves pressing and sliding an instrument over the skin.

G-IASTM can be used for both aesthetic and muscle tension.

Benefits:

Creates localized inflammation.

Increases circulation and tissue microperfusion.

Decreases adhesions and restrictions in scar tissue.

Reduces tissue viscosity.

Increases oxygenation and nutrition in treated areas.

Can increase mobility.

Disrupts pain receptors.

Stimulates collagen production.

Promotes regeneration of the treated area.

Warning

Despite all the benefits, this technique cannot be used in all situations. I will be happy to discuss this with you during your assessment.

Back exfoliation 20 min (before the massage)

Exfoliation allows the elimination of toxins as well as dead cells and encourages cellular regeneration. In addition, it stimulates the production of collagen. With this treatment, your blood circulation will be activated so the circulation of nutrients and oxygen in your body will be facilitated. Back exfoliation is a service offered because it is sometimes less obvious to do it yourself and doing it before your massage will allow for a more effective treatment, in addition to generating a better result.
